IT Support Specialist

Position Overview
As the IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for all aspects of support including network, resource connectivity, hardware, operating systems, and a variety of software applications.
 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide first-level support and respond to end-user service requests.

  • Log all IT Service Requests and assign tickets to the appropriate resource.

  • Manage the inventory and perform new installations and updates for IT equipment including laptops, printers, video conferencing, etc.

  • Apply current established standards when setting up and deploying both software and hardware.

  • Provide basic training to new users on both hardware and applicable software.

  • Maintain directory administration.

  • Troubleshoot/repair/upgrade Personal Computers.

  • Troubleshoot computer, phone, and application problems encountered by staff.

  • Install and test new software and hardware.

  • Install, troubleshoot, test, and implement security features.
     

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant, related experience in a client-facing, technically oriented, computer support position, preferably in a large, networked environment

  • Working knowledge of a wide range of computer equipment and software, including PCs and MACs, smart devices, printers, scanners, Ethernet interface cards, local area networking, Windows 10/11, MS Office, diagnostic tools, anti-virus/spam software.

  • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocol.

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office365 mail account maintenance.

  • Strong working knowledge using Azure Cloud Platform to manage workstations and applications.

  • Working experience on Telephony Voice Over IP platform (Primus / Polycom devices)

  • Strong knowledge of Cellular iPhone devices with Mobile Device Management – MDM.

  • Working experience on Xerox network Photocopiers supports for all office locations.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to a wide variety of non-technical users both orally and in writing

  • Exhibits good judgment and the ability to make decisions that may occasionally require the interpretation of established policies.

  • Strong multi-tasker with experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • Work independently to deliver and meet business needs

  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making ability Strong team player with a sense of urgency to respond quickly providing a high level of customer service

  • Adjust to changing priorities and manage time effectively

  • Client and vendor relationship management skills.

  • Valid G or G2 Driver’s License required.
